Divx compression works well, its fast and flexible but DONT EVER UPGRADE TO A NEW VERSION. Cons. The Installer pretty much tricks you into installing malware, adware type programs etc. Read each page carefully before you click next carefully unselect items. The product contains adverts despite having paid for a previous pro version. Having paid previously for an upgraded version I now find that Im expected to pay again for a new version which I was pretty much forced to upgrading to and lost previous functionality. You get a new version available message, you lose your paid for plugins and are expected to pay more money to get the new version to work as your previous version did. Backing up mpeg. 2 files to Divx is very hit and miss when it comes to sound encoding. One update works then the next fails again then you find the next update takes you to a different version of the software which you have to pay for again. Support is only through a pretty much ignored forum, they literally took my money and run leaving me with an upgraded trial version of a new product. Summary. No errors or problems during the install. Cons. When you buy a Div. X movie from a website, you need the Div. X Player to download this movie. After I downloaded this way 6 movies and burned these with the Div. X Player or Img. Burn, all movies suddenly stopped playing more than one time when played on my Blu ray Player and this Blu ray Player has no problems with Blu ray Discs. They simply revert to the start menu. Finally I unstalled the Div. X Player and the uninstaller said the uninstall was successfully, but nothing was uninstalled. Summary. Converter is pricey why Plenty of good free software that do the same like SUPER. Player sometimes distorts video or plays it upside down, but it is getting better with each update.
